SkinPen Medical Microneedling

SkinPen® Precision is the UK’s first FDA-cleared medical microneedling device and at MedSpace Aesthetics, it’s one of our most popular treatments for good reason. Microneedling uses a handheld device with ultra-fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, triggering your body’s natural collagen and elastin production. The result? Smoother, firmer, more even-toned skin without surgery or significant downtime.

This advanced collagen induction therapy triggers the skin’s natural healing process to improve texture, reduce scarring, and restore a smoother, more youthful appearance. It’s suitable for all skin types and can be used on both the face and body.

How it works

SkinPen® works by creating thousands of controlled microchannels in the skin, stimulating the body’s wound healing response in three key phases:

  1. Inflammation Phase: Microneedling activates the immune system to cleanse the skin, increase circulation, and prepare for repair.
  2. Proliferation Phase: New tissue and blood vessels form, promoting healthy cell turnover and regeneration.
  3. Remodelling Phase: Fresh collagen and elastin remodel the skin from within, reducing visible concerns over time.

Redness and mild sensitivity are expected for 24–48 hours post-treatment, similar to mild sunburn. Most clients return to normal activities the next day. Avoid direct sun exposure, makeup, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours. SPF is essential in the weeks following treatment.
Optimal results are seen after a course of treatments, a minimum of 3, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Skin continues to improve for up to 3 months post-treatment as collagen remodelling progresses. Maintenance treatments every 3-6 months are recommended.
