Skin Analysis with Observ 520x
Get to know your skin like never before with real data and insights.
At MedSpace Aesthetics, we believe in taking the guesswork out of skincare. As part of our consultations with new patients, we use our advanced Skin Analysis Device, the Observ 520x, to assess your skin at a deeper level, helping to identify concerns that may not yet be visible to the naked eye. This in-depth analysis enables us to create bespoke treatment plans and recommend tailored skincare solutions to your unique skin needs and optimised for the best outcomes.
What is a the Observ 520x skin analysis device?
Our state-of-the-art skin analysis technology uses eight different light modes to create high-resolution images of the skin, both on the surface and deep within its layers to different aspects of the skin such as:
- Daylight: Shows the skin as it appears naturally.
- Surface Texture: Highlights the skin’s topographical texture.
- Pigmentation: Reveals irregularities in skin tone.
- Vascularity: Shows the microvascular structures that cause redness.
- Parallel Polarised: Provides a magnified view of fine lines, wrinkles, and pores.
- Cross Polarised: Suppresses surface shine to reveal deeper issues like inflammation and pigmentation.
- True UV: Creates fluorescent patterns to show abnormalities on and below the surface.
- Simulated Woods Light: Helps assess oiliness and dehydration by adjusting the light spectrum.

Who’s it for
The Skin Analysis process
- High-quality images of the face are taken under multiple light modes (daylight, polarised, UV, and others).
- The system analyses surface and subsurface features such as pigmentation, texture, oil distribution, and vascular changes.
- We review your results with you, highlighting hidden or early-stage concerns.
- A personalised skincare or treatment plan is discussed based on the findings.
- A report summarising the insights and recommendations is shared with you following your consultation.
- Images are stored for future comparison to track treatment progress over time.
How often should I have a Skin Analysis?
We recommend a skin scan every 3-6 months to track progress and adjust your skincare treatments as needed. It’s especially beneficial before starting new treatments or skincare products to ensure you’re using the right solutions for your skin.
